Bear Day and Butter!

In celebration of the letter Bb, we made bread dough bears and butter to eat as snack. We also played our game where I read the clues about each child's bear and the class had to use the clues to figure out which bear I was talking about. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

PE - Cup Stacking

Mrs. Schahn, our PE teacher, sent this photo to me from PE. She has been doing a unit on Cup Stacking with the kids. They have been loving it!

Ice Cream Making!

On Wednesday, we met our 4th grade kinderbuddies for the first time. While we normally meet them in October, we were a little behind this school year and just jumped right into our first activity...making ice cream in a bag. What better way to celebrate the letter Ii?
A show of gloves and mittens to keep our hands warm while we shake the ice cream bags!
Taking turns shaking the bags with our Kinderbuddies.

After about 10 minutes of shaking, our ice cream was thick enough to eat. We scooped it out of the bags and into cups to try it out.

The overall rating of the ice cream...thumbs up!

Veteran's Day Program

On Tuesday, we had a short program in the school gym to Thank some Veteran's in honor of Veteran's Day. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang My Country Tis of Thee and also were introduced to four veterans who joined us for the occasion.
