Q and U Wedding!

This week we celebrated the wedding of Q and U! Wherever Q goes, U always follows - though U can often be in words alone.

After the ceremony, we had a cookie and punch reception, did some dancing and then sent the happy couple off to their honeymoon to Quebec while blowing bubbles! It was quite lovely!

I Love to Read Month! One Act Play and Mr. Walbruch, HLWW Superintendent, as a Guest Reader!

Today has been a very busy day! The One Act Play actors from the high school came to our school today to perform a crazy version of the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood. It was fantastic! We then had Mr. Walbruch, our superintendent, come to read to our kindergarten classes. He read the fairy tale The Three Little Pigs. It's been a busy but a fun fairy tale filled day!

I Love to Read Month

The month of February is I Love to Read month! We have spent the past couple of weeks reading different picture books that were picked out by different groups of staff members. We then met with our 4th grade kinderbuddies to have them help us use a book bracket to pick our favorite ones! We'll see which book was picked as a favorite by the school at the end of the month! We also got to pick new to us books from the PTA sponsored book walk! It's been a fun month so far!
