Holidays Around the World - Hanukkah!

During our Holidays Around the World Social Studies Unit, we would fly in our airplane (did you know that the kindergarten teachers have their airplane license:) with our suitcases, passports and maps and learn about different holidays that are celebrated around the world. For Hanukkah, we flew to Israel and made Star of David ornaments (sorry for the glitter!) and made dreidels out of marshmallows and Hershey Kisses for snack!

Holidays Around the World - St. Nicholas Day!

I'm a little late in posting for the month of December - it was just a busy, fun and crazy month! But, here goes...Here are the photos from St. Nicholas Day. We put hay and carrots in our shoes, left them by the door and St. Nicholas and his white horse came! His horse ate the straw and carrots and St. Nicholas left us treats - no coal, potatoes or onions for us! We all must have been good this year! Pictures are in no particular order!

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast!

The week of Thanksgiving, we had a special Thanksgiving feast for Kindergarten students. We all went to the lunchroom to feast together on items that correlated with the Thanksgiving story.
We even sent home leftovers!
