I is for Ice Cream!

Today we made ice cream in a bag with our kinderbuddies! It was fun, messy and yummy! Your child has the recipe in his/her folder if you want to try it at home!

Critters and Co.

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to Muffins for Mom and Donuts for Dad! After breakfast, we got to watch a presentation by Critters and Company. Check out the animals they brought and ask your child all about it!

Art with Mrs. Houston

Mrs. Houston is our part-time art teacher at Winsted. She comes to create amazing artwork with our students 1x a quarter. She came in for the first time on Tuesday and had the students create sunflower paintings. They are hanging up in the front of the school (across the hall from the office). Check them out when you have a moment - they are breathtaking!

End of Quarter Assembly 11/16/15

We had our end of quarter assemble for the whole school on Monday. The students who had perfect attendance were recognized along with students who reached their AR goals. In kindergarten, we got to highlight that our whole group of kindergarten students know 1094/1326 uppercase letters, they know 996/1326 lowercase letters and 758/1326 letter sounds. Pretty impressive!

Waiting for the assembly to begin...
Three ladies from the high school FFA program came to deliver some books to add to our school library!
