We've made it back from a wonderful winter break - heading into the second half of the school year and what do we get to start with...testing! The end of the quarter is coming soon which means report cards will be on their way home in a couple of weeks. So, we've been busy testing! A couple of our longer tests include writing numbers and writing letters. Normally we head into the gym for these tests as there aren't a lot of letters and numbers hanging up on the walls for the students to look at. This year, we had to improvise! Under our desks we went to take our tests in our caves:) We just have to make the most of each situation this year so that is how we solved our testing issues this time around!

P is for Pirates!
We had a perfectly pleasing day today for Pirate Day! We read pirate books, found a treasure map that led us to some treasure (chocolate coins - yum!) and ate a yummy pirate snack! Aargh! No one had to walk the plank either:)

Reindeer Painting
This past week, we spent time doing a directed drawing activity for reindeer. We spent one day drawing them, one day painting the nose and scarf, one day painting the fur and one day painting the background. They are amazing and so much fun to look at!
Polar Express!
Today we rode on the Polar Express! Normally we do this event in a big way but this year we had to go slightly smaller! We still got to wear pajamas, still read the story, still watched part of the movie and still got to experience the treat cart! A fun time overall!
