Holidays Around the World - 2nd Stop! The Netherlands!

Today we flew to The Netherlands to celebrate St. Nicholas Day! After another safe and quick flight, we took off one shoe, put hay and a carrot in it and left it by the outside door. It felt kind of funny walking around in one shoe all day! We then spent some time learning about St. Nicholas and his helper Black Pete and his white horse. When we checked on our shoes again, we found them with candy in them! Luckily no one got onions and potatoes in them - which would have meant we were naughty! It was great that we all got candy!
