We had an awesome visit to the Winsted Fire Station today with firefighter Rose. She taught us about calling 912 in emergencies, how to stop, drop and roll, how to get out of your home by crawling under smoke if your home is on fire, how to not hide from firefighters if they have to come into your home and to have a meeting place outside - among many other fire safety tips! Not only did we get to ride in a fire truck there, we got to sit in one of their really big fire trucks at the station!
Thanks to Firefighter Rose and the Winsted Fire Station for the great tour, bag of goodies and our own firefighter hats!
