Last week, we read different versions of the Gingerbread Man including The Gingerbread Man, The Gingerbread Girl and The Gingerbread Baby. On Friday, we made a giant gingerbread cookie and took it to Miss Patty, in the kitchen, to bake for us - warning her to not peek in the oven as it might run away! When we went to pick it up, she said she left the kitchen for just a moment and when she came back he had run away! We chased him to the gym, front office, music room, library, 4th grade, 1st grade and then finally found him back in our locked classroom. It was quite the chase and he was quite delicious to eat for snack!
What a fun adventure!
