Today was our last day of going through the alphabet. If you remember, we went through the alphabet pretty quickly at the beginning of the school year and then went through it another time but spent two days on each letter. Today, we finished that journey with the letter X! Starting next week, we'll be working on long and short vowels, blends (like bl, br, dr, tr, etc.) and digraphs (like sh, ch, etc.). Throughout our alphabet journey we have been putting nursery rhymes, poems and tongue twisters into our ABC Journal. We'll continue to add more things to this journal and it will be sent home with your child at the end of the school year (keep it and read it every once in a while...my daughter, who is in 3rd grade, still takes it out on occasion to read it!).
But today, the students wanted to share their favorite entry from their journals!
