We finished our math unit on shapes today! As a fun end activity, we made Shape Monsters! They were pretty scary!!

Johnny Appleseed!
Today, Johnny Appleseed came to visit with the kindergarten classes at Winsted in honor of his birthday (which is on Saturday). We sang Happy Birthday to him after he talked about how to grow apples and everything that you can make with apples. He also left us apples that we could eat for a snack. We got to taste test yellow, red and green apples. We made paper pans to put on our heads to wear when he came - he had a pan on his head, too! And, no shoes! After talking with him, we played a number game with dice. You've got to love dice games!
It was a pretty great day!
