Vikings - Virtual Event on Bullying

Last week, we were able to watch a MN Vikings presentation on preventing bullying. They had football players, announcers and cheerleaders talk about different kinds of bullying and what to do if you are bullied. They also showed what bullying looked and sounded like. It was a great virtual presentation to watch! Afterwards, some students made Mrs. Heuer a Viking mask! Got to love them!

Earth Day!

After making our I 💗 Earth Day signs and talking about Earth Day today, we ate dirt for snack - along with some mud and worms! 😉 

Some say that Mrs. Heuer's dirt tasted a little like chocolate!

5 Senses!

Last week we finished our science unit on our 5 senses! We had a great time experimenting with taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing!

Our experience for touch...

Trying to figure out what Mrs. Heuer put in a balloon!

Our experiment for taste...was it salty, sweet, bitter or sour?

Next...our smelling test. What scent did Mrs. Heuer put in each container?

And then sound...can you hear what is inside each plastic egg?
