Fire Station Trip

We are so fortunate that the Winsted Fire Department invites us to come to visit them every year. We learned...

  •  how to get our of our home quickly if there is a fire,
  • to make sure that our smoke detectors work,
  • to leave matches and lighters alone if we find them and go tell an adult,
  • how to stop, drop and roll,
  • to call 911 only if there is an emergency,
  • to find a meeting place outside in case of a fire,
  • we should not hide from Firefighters,
  • and that Fire Fighters are not scary - even when they are all in their fire gear.

They gave us some cool things that your child will be bringing home today. However, they were supposed to get a bag and they have not arrived yet. So, the Fire Department will be delivering them to us later this week or early next week.

Ask your child all about our trip!

Check out the photos below of our visit...
