Kindergarten Math and Calendar

Here is our update on math...
Our end of unit math test will be next Monday on Geometry! We then move on to fractions and ordinals...I know...Fractions in Kindergarten! Who would have thought?!? While we do our formal math every day, we also work math into our calendar time, which is right after rest time.
Check out the photos below...
Here is our counting person for the week. He is having the kids count by 5s. We are getting great at counting by 1's, 5's and 10's. Soon, we'll be practicing counting by 2's!
Our calendar that we go through each day. We talk about the current date and the dates for yesterday and for tomorrow.
Above is our numbers chart for how many days we have been in school. Day 100 will be here soon!
We also tally how many days we've been in school. It's an easy way to count by 5's!
Keeping track of who lost teeth in each month is also very important this month! Only one person has lost teeth so far!
Last, we add a straw for each day we've been in school to start learning about ones, tens and hundreds and then we add a penny each day to start working on money skills. Every day we discuss how much a penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar are worth!
